Does your camper dream of being a scientist, inventor, or baker? The YMCA partners with local professionals to offer a variety of exciting programs that let kids try on every hat!

Y counselors work alongside local leaders in skilled activities to bring a wide variety of camp options right to your neighborhood.

LEGO® Robotics with Robot U
3 - 6This is the ultimate week of robotics. Campers will have a week of uncompromised LEGO® robotic building with almost 100 different builds for all ages and abilities. Our robotics enthusiast instructors will be there to guild our campers to go even deeper into the engineering and programming abilities of the materials.
June 29 - July 3LEGO® Extreme Star Wars™ with LEAP4Kidz
2 -6 Explore the Star Wars™ LEGO® Universe with a variety of model builds ranging from 1 hour to 3 days to complete. Kids will work together to build and save the republic. Over 50 different models ranging from 50 - 4000 pieces. Models include Death Star, Millennium Falcon, ATAT, and more from all movies and TV.
July 6 - 10
Chess Club with Orangutan Chess Academy 2 - 6 Playing chess improves memory, concentration, foresight, creativity, problem-solving skills, and is correlated with better overall academic achievement. Students learn lessons, solve puzzles, and play one-on-one chess games. Lessons include how to play, openings, tricks (tactics), endgame (how to checkmate), chess history, and popular chess variants. The club is designed for all levels of chess knowledge, from beginner to advanced. No experience necessary. We will have a chess tournament on the final day with awards. The instructor will recommend where to find additional chess resources and play chess tournaments.

Magic Camp with Sterling Dietz
2 - 6Be prepared to make things appear, vanish, switch places, and levitate! Every day, your magician will learn new and exciting magic tricks that will blow friends and family members away!

Drama Medley with Studio East  2 - 6Join the fun at this drama camp where we will explore a variety of theater skills. Each camp is built around students' interest. Content could include acting, musical theater, stage combat, improv, and more!

LEGO® Movie Making with LEAP4Kidz 2 - 6 Use LEGO® bricks to create your own movie complete with music, special effects, and LEGO® mini-figure characters. In this unique and creative camp, students will work in teams to plan, script, stage, shoot, and produce their own mini-movie using computers, webcams, and stop motion animation software.

Junior Chef with Y Staff
2 - 6Young chefs will have a blast learning basic kitchen skills, cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and important nutrition facts. Learn a lifelong skill and have a good time while creating and tasting delicious foods.
August 10 - 14
Fired Arts with Studio2You
3 - 6Join Studio2You, a mobile ceramic and clay art studio in this hands-on pottery camp. Campers will make a variety of fun and trendy hand-built pottery like garden gnomes and flower pots while learning to use trade techniques and tools. We will explore fun glazing styles on bisque ware and more. This camp is always fun, messy and super creative. Can't wait to see you there! Due to the natural process of drying and firing, campers will receive their finished pieces two weeks later at your Y branch. More details to follow.

Creative Contraptions with Mad Science
2 - 6Our Mad Science inventors go on a journey of discovery. Each day campers are given fun challenges which they overcome using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventors and most important of all... their mind! Follow in the footsteps of da Vinci, Edison, and the Wright Bros. Envision the fantastic futures of Jules Verne and Isaac Asimov. With their ingenuity, they'll construct catapults and forts, fabricate innovative flying contraptions, and design their own gizmo prototypes.
August 24 - 28
First Mate Program with Sail Sand Point*
2 - 4Come learn about science and sailing at Sail Sand Point! Hoist a mainsail, calculate wind speed, and race sailboats with your friends! Kayak around Lake Washington to find the perfect picnic spot for food, games, and experiments! No experience necessary.

Full-Day Camp: 7:00 am - 9:00 am / 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Extended Camp Fees:
Half-Day Camp: $105 FM / CM
Full-Day Camp: Included in camp fees

Dale Turner Family YMCA: Bus leaves at 8:15 am and returns at 4:30 pm
Lake Forest Park Elementary: Bus leaves at 7:45 am and returns at 4:45 pm. This location is only available for campers who are registered for Extended Camp.
