Peak Camp

Peak Camp

Grades 6 - 8

Set your sights on the summit this summer. Y Peak Camp is an action-packed camp with opportunities to make new friends, learn leadership skills, and go on new adventures each day.. This camp is designed to help teens work together to gain better decision-making and conflict-resolution skills, have positive character building experiences, and encouraging positive values all while discovering something new about themselves. Led by some cool counselors, campers will reach their peak together through time outdoors in team-building, group games, and community service projects.

A typical week includes:
• Projects that focus on core leadership skills like goal setting, teamwork, and self-confidence
• Activities that lean into topics on social awareness and tolerance
• Community service projects planned by campers OR week-long camper led and planned service projects
• Outdoor environmental education
• Social time for building friendships
• Exploring nearby spaces and places independently and in small groups

Field Trip Update
As you know, camp will look different this year as we adjust to keep kids and staff safe with daily health screenings and small groups, along with other health and safety protocols. We designed Peak Camp with that in mind, keeping groups extra small so that we could continue to offer field trips for these age groups.

We will be transporting campers by yellow bus, with one camper per seat, windows open, and masks on, in accordance with guidance from local and state officials along with recommendations from Y-USA and the American Camping Association. Field trips will connect campers to future career and leadership opportunities, help them dive deeper into a service project, or take them on outdoor adventures throughout the northwest. Stay tuned to your weekly camp newsletter for updates on field trip locations.
