Create, learn, and play throughout the summer at YMCA Discovery Camp!
Trained Y staff create hands-on, structured enrichment activities in art, science, storytelling, and outdoor play. Each week's theme is woven into the day's games, field trips, and fun. Your camper will make new friends and develop skills in a small group setting.

Hi, I'm Donya!
Years With the Y: 2nd Summer with the Y!
Favorite Camp Memory: The last week of camp we had a combined BBQ with 2 other sites at a regional park. Staff cooked for the kids, we had multiple piñatas, tons of games, led a nature walk, and challenged other sites to a game of kickball. It was nice to see 3 different sites together, enjoying each other's company. The surprise factor was introduced toward the end of the day...an impromptu water fight. Counselors attacking supervisors, directors soaking supervisor. There were no allies, every staff for themselves. The funniest and fun chaos ever. Our kids were so confused, but got a good chuckle out of watching us act like kids.
Favorite Camp Activity: I love learning new songs from campers, especially ones that get you moving!
Fun Fact About Me: When I travel to new countries, I attempt at teaching myself a variety of useful phrases in the native language. So far I've tried Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, and French.
