Y counselors work alongside local leaders in skilled activities to bring a wide variety of camp options right to your neighborhood.

June 25 - 29  Bike Camp
(Grades 3-5)  (FULL)     
Participants will learn how to use those gears to pedal efficiently and maximize the fun as we explore Magnuson Park and the surrounding area by bike. Build your bike handling skills as you learn the rules of the road and learn how to fix a flat tire. Note: Your child must provide their own bike and must have experience riding a bike.

Climb On!         
(Grades 4-6)   (FULL)
Travel the Greater Seattle Area visiting some of the most challenging and fun climbing towers, walls and bouldering gyms. All levels welcome.
July 9 - 13     Sandpoint Scientists (FULL) Young Scientists explore hands-on science experiments, fun and challenging projects, that will inspire the inner scientist in your child.
July 9-13 Hip Hop
(Grades 3-6)
Experience a fun filled week of intense, upbeat choreographed movement that will focus on precision, sharpness, and coordination, all culminating to a live performance for parents at the end of the week. Be sure to bring a water bottle and dancing shoes.
July 16 - 20 Magic Camp with Sterling Dietz (FULL)      Have you ever wanted to be a magician? Learn the secrets to magic tricks and card tricks that you can show your friends and parents. The week concludes with a magic show and your very own magic kit.
July 23 - 27 Wings, Wheels, and Sails with Engineering for Kids
(Ages 5-6) (FULL)
Guten Tag! Travel the world with Kelvin (our mascot) and our core of engineers as we explore Wings, Wheels, and Sails. Drive across the United States, build a boat to sail the Mediterranean, and fly to the Orient, in this fun engineering experience. Join us on an amazing adventure as we design planes, cars, boats, and rockets to travel the globe...and beyond!
July 23 - 27 Amazing Race: The Engineering of Travel with Engineering for Kids
(Ages 7-12) (FULL)
Pack your bags, engineers, and get ready for an adventure! Team up with others for a wild ride across the globe and beyond! Students will carefully engineer vehicles that can traverse the most treacherous terrains, brave the highest seas, and soar above the clouds-are you up for the challenge? Grab your passports and catch a flight straight to Engineering for Kids-a truly unbelievable journey!

LEGO Jedi Engineering (Grades K-2nd) (FULL)
The Force Awakens in this introductory engineering course for young Jedi! Explore engineering principles by designing and building projects using LEGO® materials such as X-Wings, R2 Units, Energy Catapults, Defense Turrets, and Settlements from a galaxy far, far away. Create motorized and architectural projects with imagination and engineering to defeat the Empire!

LEGO Jedi Master Engineering (Grades 3rd-5th)

The Force Awakens in this advanced engineering course for young Jedi!  Discover key engineering concepts such as gear trains, worm drives, pneumatics, and eccentric motion.  Build projects from LEGO® Materials such as X-wings, AT-AT walkers, Pod Racers, Star Destroyers, Cloud Cities, Settlements, Fortresses, and other complex machines and structures from a galaxy far, far away.   
August 13 - 17 Mine, Craft, Build Adventure Game
(Grades K-2) (FULL)
Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO® materials! Resourcefulness, creativity, and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game; roll the dice to mine for resources, and use these resources to build special items to help in our adventures! Build a Zoo, create a Medieval Castle, and design a Tree House Village! This experience is an original game designed by Play-Well instructors inspired by the popular game, Minecraft. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO® materials.
August 13 - 17 Mine, Craft, Build Adventure Game (Grades 3 - 6) (FULL)      Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO® materials! Resourcefulness, creativity, and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game; roll the dice to mine for resources, craft tools, and watch out for Creepers! This ultimate Play-Well Minecraft experience using LEGO® materials is an original game designed by Play-Well instructors, using gameplay elements and characters inspired by the popular Minecraft video game. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO® materials.

Cooking Camp with PCC Natural Markets
(Grades 3-6) (FULL)
Put on your chef hat because it's time to cook! Everyday will be a new cultural adventure as we partner with PCC to help educate our campers on cooking basics. We will be meeting at YMCA Camp Sandpoint and then travelling to PCC.
August 20 - 24 Jump Rope with Ropeworks  Whether it's double dutch or single rope, if you love to jump rope this is the week for you. The camp combines single rope skills, double dutch jumping, partner work group routines as well as fun games and is organized for kids to learn the value of teamwork and cooperation.
August 27 - 31 Lego Camp: Robotics Using WeDo (Grades 2-4) (FULL)      Build and program robots in this introductory Robotics class using the LEGO® WeDo® system. Learn basic programming skills, simple engineering concepts, and the names of robot components. Work in small groups to complete several projects using tilt and motion sensors. This is a great way to prepare young Robotics enthusiasts for our more advanced Robotics programs.
August 27 - 31 Lego Camp: Robotics Using NXT/EV3 System
(Grades 5-6) (FULL)
Build and program robots using the LEGO® Mindstorms® EV3 or NXT system! Learn about mechanical and software design, loops, conditional statements, problem solving, and teamwork skills. Work in small groups, program and build your robot, and rise to the challenge. Control the robot to avoid obstacles, pick up and carry objects, and play sounds. Projects are structured so that students work in an open-ended, investigative environment while having fun.

June 25 - 29  Lego Star Wars LEGO® Star Wars camp from LEAP4KidzTM offers a challenging and fun building experience for campers to work together to explore the Star Wars Lego Universe and save the Republic. Models include Death Star, Millennium Falcon, ATAT and more!

Young Olympians Go for the Gold! This camp will introduce fun sports, team relays, and minute-to-win-it challenges to compete for the ultimate prize. All ages and skill levels are welcome in this fun-filled teamwork-focused week.
July 9 - 13 Yoga with Mindful Movements Enjoy a week full of peacefulness, balance and courage. We'll play games, dance, work with affirmations, color mandalas, and end with a guided relaxation.
July 16 - 20 Grossology Prepare to get your hands dirty! You'll experience a variety of messy and fun experiments to learn the science behind them. From slime to bugs, you'll explore all things gross.
July 23 - 27  Camp Survivor Do you have what it takes to survive in the woods? You'll have a chance to learn basic wilderness survival skills through interactive challenges. This week will include fun games and activities, outdoor cooking, and outdoor skills development.
July 30 - August 3 Lego Movie Maker (FULL) Work in teams to plan, script, stage, shoot, and produce your own mini-movie! MOVIE MAKING camp from LEAP4KidzTM uses stop motion software, computers, and webcams alongside LEGO bricks, sets, and minifigures to create your own stop motion movie, complete with sound effects and music.
August 6 - 10    Engineering For Kids, Amazing Race Team up with others for a wild ride across the globe and beyond! You will carefully engineer vehicles that can traverse the most treacherous terrains, brave the highest seas, and soar above the clouds-are you up for the challenge? If so, grab your passports and get ready for a week of adventure!

Super Scientists (FULL)      Young Scientists explore hands-on experiments and challenging projects that will inspire the inner scientist in your child. From ooey-gooey chemistry to the physics of paper airplane flight we will be learning basic scientific principles in the fun of summer!
August 27 - 31
Make Your Mark with Art Explore new types of art to focus on each day - painting, drawing, photography, landscape design and more! Learn about basic art skills and famous artists throughout history.
