Does your camper dream of being a scientist, inventor, or baker? The YMCA partners with local professionals to offer a variety of exciting programs that let kids try on every hat!

Y counselors work alongside local leaders in skilled activities to bring a wide variety of camp options right to your neighborhood.

$275 FM  - $320 CM Wrap Around Camp included
Week of July 1-3: $165 FM - $210 CM (Closed July 4-5)

Adventure Summer Camps are week long, high energy, interactive experiences packed full of precision instruction, fun games, and supervised free play designed to highlight important aspects of parkour philosophy such as goal setting, creative problem solving, collaboration, and overcoming fear. Under the guidance of experienced and certified parkour instructors, campers will learn and hone their ability to run, jump, climb, vault, and roll while exploring local parks and outdoor neighborhood training grounds. So, whether your camper is new to parkour or a dedicated practitioner looking to grow, these camps are perfect for improving movement and making friends. Come play with us! July 8 - 12   Jump Rope 

K-5Whether it's double dutch or single rope, if you love to jump rope this is the week for you. The camp combines single rope skills, double dutch jumping, partner work group routines as well as fun games and is organized for kids to learn the value of teamwork and cooperation.

July 8 - 12 Bike Camp

3-5Participants will learn how to use those gears to pedal efficiently and maximize the fun as we explore Magnuson Park and the surrounding area by bike. Build your bike handling skills as you learn the rules of the road and learn how to fix a flat tire.
Note: Your child must provide their own bike and must have experience riding a bike.

July 15 - 19 LEGO Mine, Craft, Build Adventure Game

K-1Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO® bricks! Resourcefulness, creativity, and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game; roll the dice to mine for resources, and use these resources to build special items to help in our adventures! Build a Zoo, create a Medieval Castle, and design a Tree House Village! This experience is an original game designed by Play-Well instructors inspired by the popular game, Minecraft. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or the LEGO® building system.

July 15 - 19 LEGO Mine, Craft, Build, Survival Game

2-5Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO® bricks! Resourcefulness, creativity, and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game; roll the dice to mine for resources, craft tools, and watch out for Creepers! This ultimate LEGO Minecraft experience is an original game designed by Play-Well instructors, using gameplay elements and characters inspired by the popular Minecraft video game. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO® materials.

July 22 - 26 Magic Camp with Sterling Dietz 

K-5 Have you ever wanted to be a magician? Learn the secrets to magic tricks and card tricks that you can show your friends and parents. The week concludes with a magic show and your very own magic kit.

July 29 - August 2 Jedi Robotics using the LEGO WeDo System

2-4Build and program robots inspired by a galaxy far, far away using the LEGO® WeDo® system! Lift an X-Wing from Dagobah swamp, program a droid-sorting factory, and land an Imperial Shuttle using motion sensors. In small groups, learn basic programming, engineering, and robotics concepts in a fun Jedi-themed environment.

July 29 - August 2 Jedi Robotics using the LEGO EV3 System

5-7These ARE the droids you're looking for! Build and program robots inspired by a galaxy far, far away using the LEGO® Mindstorms® system. Navigate a minefield, target shield generators, and even respond to the Force using Play-Well's full array of sensors and servos. Learn about mechanical and software design, loops, conditional statements, problem solving, and teamwork skills. Work in small groups to solve problems in this open-ended Jedi-themed environment.

Building Cities with Engineering for Kids 

K-1Do you have what it takes to engineer a city from the ground up? Students will work together as a construction crew to design and build magnificent cities from nothing but a little engineering and their own imagination. Crews design essential urban structures and solve real-world challenges, such as developing processes to purify water and generate electricity. Sign up to help your crew build the best city in town!

2-5Put on your hard hats engineers and get ready to explore civil, mechanical and environmental engineering like never before. From roads and tunnels to bridges and skyscrapers, students discover that no job is too tough for an Engineering for Kids engineer!   
August 12 - 16 Hip Hop 

1-5Experience a fun filled week of intense, upbeat choreographed movement that will focus on precision, sharpness, and coordination, all culminating to a live performance for parents at the end of the week. Be sure to bring a water bottle and dancing shoes.

August 12 - 16 PCC Cooking Camp

4-6Put on your chef hat because it's time to cook! Everyday will be a new cultural adventure as we partner with PCC to help educate our campers on cooking basics. We will be meeting at Magnuson Park and then travelling to PCC.field trip bus

August 26 - 30 Harry Potter Magical Engineering using LEGO Materials 

K-1Explore the magic of Harry Potter using LEGO®! Find Platform 9 ¾, build Hogwarts Express Train, work cooperatively to construct the mysterious Hogwarts Castle, and soar on the wings of a Norwegian Ridgeback Dragon. Travel to a world of wizardry and hone your magical skills while learning about Muggle (STEM) concepts.

August 26 - 30 Harry Potter Master Engineering using LEGO Materials 
 
2-5Master the magic of Harry Potter using LEGO®! Build Diagon Alley in preparation for your trip to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hop on your Broomstick and play Quidditch, duel the evil Lord Voldemort, and hone your magical skills while learning about advanced Muggle (STEM) concepts.
