Y counselors work alongside local leaders in skilled activities to bring a wide variety of camp options right to your neighborhood.

LEGO® Movie Making with LEAP4Kidz
1 - 6Use LEGO® bricks to create your own movie, complete with music, special effects, and LEGO® mini-figure characters! In this unique and creative camp, students will work in teams to plan, script, stage, shoot, and produce their own mini-movie using computers, webcams, and stop motion animation software.ion animation software.
June 29 - July 3Crazy Chemworks with Mad Science
1 - 6Mad Science reveals the wonders of chemistry as your junior chemist creates surprising concoctions, breaks molecules with ease, and shakes up a flask full of fun. Kids will use the tools, safety procedures, and laboratory techniques of real chemists as they investigate solids, liquids, and gases at the atomic level. They'll craft chemical combinations to create super-sticky-stuff, analyze the properties of light and discover why things glow-in-the-dark. Exploring the elements has never been so much fun!

Fired Arts with Studio2You
3 - 6Join Studio2You, a mobile ceramic and clay art studio, in this hands-on pottery camp. Campers will make a variety of fun and trendy hand-built pottery like garden gnomes and flower pots while learning to use trade techniques and tools. We will explore fun glazing styles on bisque ware and more. This camp is always fun, messy, and super creative. Due to the natural process of drying and firing, campers will receive their finished pieces two weeks later at your Y branch.

Chess with Orangutan Chess Academy
2 - 6Playing chess improves memory, concentration, foresight, creativity, problem-solving skills, and is correlated with better overall academic achievement. Students learn lessons, solve puzzles, and play one-on-one chess games. Lessons include how to play, openings, tricks (tactics), endgame (how to checkmate), chess history, and popular chess variants. The club is designed for all levels of chess knowledge from beginner to advanced. We will have a chess tournament on the final day with awards. The instructor will recommend where to find additional chess resources and play chess tournaments.
July 20 - 24LEGO® Robotics with Robots U
1 - 6This is the ultimate week of robotics. Campers will have a week of uncompromised LEGO® robotic building with almost 100 different builds for all ages and abilities. Our robotics enthusiast instructors will be there to guide our campers to go even deeper into the engineering and programming abilities of the materials.
July 27 - 31Jump Rope with Ropeworks
1 - 5Whether it's double dutch or single rope, if you love to jump rope this is the week for you. The camp combines single rope skills, double dutch jumping, partner work, group routines, as well as fun games and is organized for kids to learn the value of teamwork and cooperation.
August 3 - 7Adventures in STEM - LEGO® Materials with Play-Well TEKnologies
1 - 3Let your imagination run wild with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer-designed projects such as: chugging steamboats, enchanting Moon Bridges, and bustling airports. Design and build as never before and explore your craziest ideas.
August 10 - 14Creative Contraptions with Mad Science
1 - 6Our Mad Science inventors go on a journey of discovery. Each day campers are given fun challenges which they overcome using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventors, and most important of all... their mind! Follow in the footsteps of da Vinci, Edison, and the Wright Bros. Envision the fantastic futures of Jules Verne and Isaac Asimov. Construct catapults and forts, fabricate innovative flying contraptions, and design gizmo prototypes.
August 24 - 28Magic Camp with Sterling Dietz
1 - 6Be prepared to make things appear, vanish, switch places, and levitate! Every day, your magician will learn new and exciting magic tricks that will blow friends and family members away!
