Camp Program Updates for August 16th (Updated 8/16/2018 9:45 am):

Current weather conditions have improved and the air quality index for most locations is Moderate, indicating a moderate health concern for a very small number of people who are unusually sensitive to air pollution or smoke. We will continue to monitor for changing conditions throughout the day and make programming changes as needed.


The current forecast and air quality index have led to the following adjustments:

Auburn: Normal operations with additional breaks to reduce strenuous activity time. 
Bellevue: Normal operations with additional breaks to reduce strenuous activity time. 
Coal Creek: Normal operations with additional breaks to reduce strenuous activity time. 
Dale Turner Family: Normal operations with additional breaks.

Horse Camp in Cle Elum has risen to the Unhealthy Level. Riders are using masks and will be moving indoors for the rest of the time until picked up at 12:00 noon to return to Shoreline. 

Matt Griffin: Normal operations with additional breaks to reduce strenuous activity time. 
Northshore: Normal operations with additional breaks to reduce strenuous activity time. 
Sammamish/Camp Terry: Air quality index currently at 108 (Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups), just outside of Moderate. Campers will have modified operations but return to normal locations. Additional indoor activities and more indoor breaks for campers with asthmas and sensitivities will be provided.

Camp Tery Field Trip Updates:
Samm/Snoq Land Group: Going to Coal Creek Falls
Samm/Snoq Water Group: Going to Pine Lakes
Coal Creek/Bell Land Group: Going to Mercer Slough

Snoqualmie: Air quality index currently at 108 (Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups), just outside of Moderate. Campers will have modified operations but return to normal locations. Campers will do MOSTLY indoor activities for today.
University: Normal operations with additional breaks to reduce strenuous activity time. 
West Seattle: Normal operations with additional breaks to reduce strenuous activity time.
